The Atom 50 Company was founded in 1984. After nine years in the cleaning business, Tom Day, a pool owner, was looking for a product to remove the waterline stains on his pool tiles that was easy to use, and safe for the environment and his family. In the past, removing these stains was a very time consuming process. First, the water level had to be lowered past the tiles. Second, harsh chemicals were applied with a brush. Third, water was added back to the pool. And finally, you needed to wait for the chemicals to be filtered from the pool before swimming.
